- The main imports are jewellery and precious metals (31%), drugs (10.7%), machinery and computers (7.2%), and vehicles (5.6%).
- Its main suppliers are Germany (20.7%), the United States (8%), Italy (7.5%) and the United Kingdom (7.2%).
- The economy of Switzerland, despite the absence of natural resources, is one of the most prosperous and developed in the world.

- It is diplomatically characterized by its neutral foreign relations policy, without having actively participated in any international conflict since 1815.
